《Mt. Jade : in colored pencil》, 200mm*150mm, colored pencil, washi, 2019, Tshuà Puē-Iông.

Mt. Jade is the highest mountain in Taiwan, and is also a symbol of Taiwan's spirit (which also being printed on the bill). For many people, their goal is to climb Mt. Jade at least once in their lifetime. I used colored pencils to create a light and lively feeling, so you can feel that it becomes tiny and easygoing.

《Mt. Jade : in Japanese mineral pigments》378mm*287mm, Japanese mineral pigments, washi, 2019, Tshuà Puē-Iông.

Since coming to Japan, I have had the opportunity to use iwaenogu, a type of rock pigment, for the first time. I then used iwaenogu to depict Mt. Jade, which holds similar significance to Mount Fuji for the Japanese. Iwaenogu was a perfect fit for the vibrant green of Mt. Jade.
